To answer to the increasing requirement for the amenity in the vehicle environment various kind of effort is on the move. One of the emphasis in the laboratory is noise reduction.
Noise
The noise generated by the tire is studies in the engineering office with the use of computer simulation and each trial piece is measured and evaluated in the anechoic chamber, which is designed to completely absorb reflections of sound in order to evaluate the actual noise due to tire. Incidentally the noise level inside the chamber is kept 10 to 20 dB.

The noise generated by a tire, pattern noise or road noise can be measured at specified point, outside the vehicle or internal vehicle noise.

Tire uniformity
Accuracy and consistency is the single most requirement tackled in the factory for TBR . In the factory balancing machine not only for PCR but for TBR is widely adopted to check the imbalance of the tires. Static and Dynamic imbalance of tire and wheel assemblies could cause vehicle vibration. Furthermore uniformity machine which can check RFV (Radial Force Variation) and LFV (Lateral Force Variation) is going to be employed as well as for PCR.
